Y5 Viking Workshop 2023

Year 5 had an amazing visit from the Hobgoblin Theatre Company last week to experience what life was like during the Viking era. We also learnt about where they travelled from, where they invaded and what clothes and means of transport they used. After the production of "A Viking Tale", the children were involved in drama workshops, acting out different scenes, such as working together to create a human longboat and a battle between Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. This was a great insight into the beginning of our history topic this term and we are very excited to learn more about this period of history and how it impacted our lives in Great Britain.
