Meads Mother's Day afternoon tea

Our eagerly anticipated Mother's Day afternoon tea was a huge success last Friday.  Altogether around 60 mums, nans and aunties came to join the party in the main hall.  Once everyone was in place around beautifully decorated tables with the tea and coffee flowing and Mother's Day tunes sounding out, the children arrived to join the festivities.  Everyone enjoyed an afternoon of arts and crafts but the main event was the delicious savoury and sweet treats served to everyone.  Platters of sandwiches, tropical fruit, shortbread with cream, a multitude of delicious chocolate and carrot cakes with chocolate-dipped strawberries on the side were greatly appreciated.  The kitchen did a fantastic job and all the children and staff made sure that all of our special guests had a Mother's Day experience to remember.

The challenge is now...what can we do for Father's Day???? 😉
